A highlight for many of us during our first full day in Denmark was the renting of bicycles. We wanted to make like the locals and participate in the daily commutes and see the sights while "looking the part". Everywhere people are biking--By far it's the most popular mode of transportation. The city's very bicycle friendly, with designated bike lanes and community bike programs. After getting our new rides, we took them for a spin about town, peddling amongst the crowds of Danes in the streets. Not quite the Tour de France, it was still neat ride in the crowds and be part of the vibrant city's fabric. In this picture you can see some us down by the harbor, Nyhavn. Our cruise included a stop at an outdoor cafe for coffee, followed by a speed-through of some the parks.
