We returned to Copenhagen from Prague last weekend to begin our second DIS (and last M.S. in Commerce) class: Marketing Strategies in Global Markets (or Trading in Global Financial Markets) with Professor Maxham (or Sandas).
Our marketing course with Professor Maxham is fantastic! We have class from 9:30-12:00 and get to spend the afternoon doing retail fieldwork; Christina, Amy (a girl from Indiana), and I are working on analyzing the Danish supermarket industry. Our counterparts in financial services have class from 9:30-12:15 and 1:30-2:45...but they play games half the time.
Classes aside, a few of us climbed the corkscrew spire on The Church of our Saviour and I was able to get some great shots of the city. We also enjoyed a concert by a military band in Kastellet, an old fortification now used by the Danish Defence Ministry. They played mostly classical music and a couple marches but also performed a Beatles medley that was pretty cool.
Professor Maxham has been kind enough to give us an extended weekend to perform additional retail fieldwork so...a few of us are going to Stockholm!
